Unit 44 Advanced Game Development Studies introduction

On the first day, I arrived back at Nescot college, I got assigned to "Unit 44 Advanced Game Development Studies" Originally, the game is about creating a working indie game as a class (3 people). However, later on the year we would work by ourselves to create a game. These are the tasks that are provided for the assignment: Task 01 – Market Research Report (750 – 1000 words, pdf) – 08/10/21 The market research report is an analysis report from current market information to define the audiences and demographics for the game. Facts, statistics, and survey results will be provided when the report is done. Task 03 – Game development plan (1000–1500 words, pdf) – 19/11/21 This entails the game development process, plans, and how the game works. I did a macro document and a Trello board. Originally I had created a game design document for the group project of this assignment however, things took a turn and as students, we had to create a game of our own instead of one team game project. Task 04 – Mobile game prototype - 13th May 2022 The longest task requires building the game from Unreal Engine 4. Demonstration of the playable game - build with video capture of playthrough. Task 05 – Marketing strategy presentation (LIVE or recorded) – 13th May 2022 A presentation that lasts for 7-10 minutes. For task 4 I conducted 2-week sprints for tasks I needed to take on for game development.
