As part of our research and development for Unit 60 - Advanced Animation, I created several facial expressions. As humans we have over 20 facial expressions in which we convey our emotions by showing off our expressions to people and living things in our lives.
In this task we were given a preset rigged character to use in autodesk maya to create different facial expressions for the character through 20+ different facial expressions. For reference, here is an image of the facial expressions we express:

The facial expressions I created with the sinka model were: Happy

Sad

Fearful

Angry

Surprised

Disgusted

Appalled

Happily surprised

Happily disgusted

Sadly fearful

Sadly angry

Overall, this was a decent workshop, if you are to convey emotions and act the characters out it is essential to know the human emotions and translate that into your characters when animating them.
