On 16/11/18 during our last lesson, all of us produced life and figure drawings. They had this spacious art room in which we used the art boards to draw objects, still life and figures. Our teacher, Calvin showed us the presentation of figures and we had to do a 2 minute drawing about 5 times.
What Calvin told us to do next was to draw the human figure in heights. We use the reciting (think it's called) technique to see how many times the head fits to the height of the figure. I got 6.
After the 2 minute drawings, Calvin told us to do 5 minute drawings. Only this time however it was a figure on a chair. I performed many lines to and did a bit of smudging to get a shadow that contrasts to the figure. Therefore, I wanted to make it unique rather than bring bland about the drawing. Hence the many lines.
