Color Theory

Updated: Sep 6, 2019

Color Theory is illustrated in many ways and portrayed in perceptions. The color theories are: Subtractive (CMYK) and Additive (RGB), Perception = Light, Pigment, Complementary, Hue/Value/Chroma, 3 stages of the color wheel, additive spectrums, perceptions. Perceptions and additive spectrums are met by the pupils of our eyes in which it reads the color. It can be labelled, explained and applied to art. Meaning that our eyes meet all kinds of art in different shapes, sizes and most importantly, Color. I saved a few images of concept art and artworks, then went onto the Adobe Colour website to try out the images I saved. This was to try to obtain the main 5 colors. The color harmony was custom. Here's screenshots for evidence:

Personally, this was my first time learning color theory so I can't entirely speculate or be specific on what color type they are. However, I wouldassume the 1st screenshot is triadic because the color/hue wheel has triangular angles/vertices and on the 3rd screenshot is compliment because the colors are next to each other.

Personally, I found the color theory learning quite interesting and I am developing a better understanding of art, color and perception.
