Standard Deviation, Averages and Jupyter

Updated: Sep 6, 2019

In our first lesson we learned: Standard Deviation and Averages. Standard Deviation is a very complex formula used in maths however, when you start grasping it and writing it down on a piece of paper, it's not too bad. Here's a picture explaining the values of Standard Deviation:

We were given a task to go through a worksheet from our teacher to work on Standard Deviation, mean, range, median and mode. I managed to get to C but could've done more although during the process, I got the blue of screen of death. Here's a screenshot of what I'd done during the first lesson:

Moving on... in our second lesson I am undergoing Jupyter for the first time. Jupyter is a coding/programming software you'd use via web browser and download as an application. It uses Python 3 to function as a type of plug in to get the code going. We were told to use Jupyter as our main coding source to program with Python. Here's some examples of coding. This was treated as a practice to get our minds going:

Overall, I found Jupyter to be simple and fun (despite the function part.). Standard Deviation was... mostly new to me and it was in the middle grasping it but got there in the end.
