Assets are important when advertising and selling a game. Assets are a key feature of advertising. Without assets, advertising can be quite dull with no style and substance. The key art for your video game is the main face of the game itself it'll be the one asset that will be seen more than anything else. You will need key art, descriptions to reinforce and reflect on your game.
Early on in development, it is a vital method to use GIFs. Something that'll be unique, stand out that'll capture a person's attention. Trailers are a good alternative to GIFs however, they require a couple of minutes on average to capture the person's interest in the game. They are both very important.
Key Art will be presented on gaming platforms, box art, promos, etc. The steam store is a great example of this:

Descriptions Make sure your description has AT LEAST one of the meanings following descriptions: ambitious, strong, meaningful.
To create strong key art, one needs depth, meaning, the world around it, characters, no cluttered pieces, personality, feeling.
You'll notice when creating key art, there are possibilities that the key art has to be adapted or changed if the concept, key artists or directors aren't satisfied with it.
When creating Assets, you can also try and reference key art artworks using mood boards and from there to create your own key artwork.
