Dramatic Elements are basic game design and use influence, conflict and procedures within a game. Altogether, there are five dramatic elements. Essentially, they're similar to principles of game design although with a more reflective and adding complexity of what can occur in a video game.
Challenges: The experience of conflict. Creating tension executes to resolve problems and add in dramatic effect into the game. Creating varying levels of achievement or frustration.
Story: The premise that doesn't go anywhere but the stories itself unfold and lead with the game.
Characters: The vessels of participation and the main core element of the story, premise and participant of the game. Entry points leading to experience situations, conflicts, choices.
Premise: The simple way for games to create engagement with the overarching premise. Providing context to the formal elements.
Play: Providing opportunities for players to use their imagination, inspiration, social skills.
