Area and Perimeter

Updated: Sep 6, 2019

In our last Maths and Logic fundamental lesson, we studied Area and Perimeter. I'm very familiar to the subject so I knew the majority of the formulas used within the area and perimeteres. Perimeters is where you add every edge/vertices whereas Area is where you times a base and height etc. There are formulas for areas and perimeters. I will provide examples for basic shapes. For an area of a triangle is: 1/2 x base x height and perimeter is A + B (base) + C. Do remember that they can be any letter or number, there are no specifics.

The formula of area for a square is: A2 and the perimeter is = 4A. The amount on the number next to it means how many A's there are. As for area however, if there is a '2' next to a number, you have to square it.
